L’appel du Vide: Even For The Perfectly Sane
Have you ever been behind the wheel of the car, driving along on a normal day and just start thinking to yourself, “what if right now, I rammed my car into the oncoming traffic”, ok well maybe not to that degree but, have you ever just thought of something so bizarre like that?
The French have a word for it,
L’appel du Vide- The call of the void.
I don’t know, its such a strange phenomenon. And it happens to me and to many people more times than we ever want to admit.
I’ve been wanting to get this tattoo done for a awhile, but didn’t tell anyone about it. Throughout middle school and high school I had really low self-esteem. I didn’t think I was smart, attractive, or important. I would stay with guys that weren’t nice to me and let them treat me like shit. Over the past year I feel like I have grown up so much, and this tattoo reminds me that I am worthy of love, respect, happiness, and so much more.
